Not in college anymore!

My T-shirt drawer was overflowing with sorority shirts from college. I know some girls have made T-shirt blankets out of their old shirts but it is quite pricey. I decided to preserve their memory in photos! Why not? I photograph EVERYTHING!
And so my Goodwill pile begins...

My mom has these 2 shirts as well

Mallard Ball is probably my all time favorite ADPi party!

So PC. So Sad

An old shirt that was passed down to me

Proud to be Greek

I like to do everything the ADPi way :)

Very bittersweet

A must read

I received an e-mail from my dad about a speech that Bill Gates gave to a group of high school students.
He talks about how feel-good, politically correct teachings
created a generation of kids with no concept of reality and
how this concept set them up for failure in the real world.

11 Things you have not and will not learn in school:

Rule 1 : Life is not fair - get used to it!

Rule 2 : The world doesn't care about your self-esteem.
The world will expect you to accomplish something
BEFORE you feel good about yourself.

Rule 3 : You will NOT make $60,000 a year right out of high school.
You won't be a vice-president with a car phone until you earn both.

Rule 4 : If you think your teacher is tough, wait till you get a boss

Rule 5 : Flipping burgers is not beneath your dignity.
Your Grandparents had a different word for burger flipping:
They called it opportunity.

Rule 6 : If you mess up, it's not your parents' fault,
so don't whine about your mistakes, learn from them.

Rule 7 : Before you were born, your parents weren't as boring
as they are now. They got that way from paying your bills,
cleaning your clothes and listening to you
talk about how cool you thought you were
So before you save the rain forest
from the parasites of your parent's generation,
try delousing the closet in your own room..

Rule 8 : Your school may have done away with winners and losers,
but life HAS NOT. In some schools, they have abolished failing grades
and they'll give you as MANY TIMES as you want to get the right answer.
*This doesn't bear the slightest resemblance to ANYTHING in real life.

Rule 9 : Life is not divided into semesters.
You don't get summers off and very few employers
are interested in helping you FIND YOURSELF.
*Do that on your own time.

Rule 10 : Television is NOT real life.
In real life people actually have to leave the coffee shop and go to jobs.

Rule 11 : Be nice to nerds.
Chances are you'll end up working for one..

If you can read this... Thank a Teacher.
If you can read this in English... Thank a Soldier!
And for life and everything else you have... Thank God!!

A day in the life of Cooper

Meet the world's worst BEST dog!

This is how I look when you try to eat. It is so pitiful.

This is where I like to position myself in the car. I don't know why you always put me in the backseat, I always end up here!

I know there is something fabulous under this bed.

I think I'm a small little puppy. 87 lbs? I think not!

For Halloween, I was a jailbird.

Who wouldn't want to be me?

Somethings you may not know about ME:

I’m a hopeless romantic

I absolutely hate doing my own hair

The gym is not my friend but, I’m working on this one

I am beyond obsessed with babies

I believe Cooper (the dog) is 17% human

I talk to myself constantly

I love Home Goods stores

I don’t like to ride in the car for very long at all

Derek knows me better than I probably know myself

I quit my job and started grad school at USC in January

I love weddings

I wish I still lived in Charlotte

I would wear a dress over pants or a skirt any day

I loathe roaches

Derek and I love to see movies together

I’m rarely cranky, unless I am hungry or tired :)

I knew Derek was something special on our very first date

Sometimes I have terrible diarrhea of the mouth

And we’ll leave it at that!

My best friend is getting MARRIED!

Erin has been one of my best friends since the day we met at PC in 2005. I talk to her almost every day and she is the best friend a girl could ask!

Erin and Hunter have been dating for a while now and I knew they would eventually get married. On Christmas day, I called Erin and sarcastically said "are you engaged yet?" These words just came out of my mouth without much thought behind them and I didn't expect her to say yes. I was right, they were not engaged.

HOWEVER, later that night I saw that I had missed two calls from Erin. Odd...I thought to myself. I knew in my head then that something big had happened. I called her and she said "Hunter proposed!" I screamed, teared up, babbled a little, and told her how happy I was for both of them.

Now Erin sports a beautiful engagement ring that once belonged to Hunter's grandmother. The big day is October 8th and I can't wait!

Congratulations Erin and Hunter!

Christmas Cards

Two years ago my sister Lauren surprised our family with a family picture Christmas card. We had gone to the beach in August for my uncles wedding so Lauren used a family photo from that weekend to make the card. It was a HIT!! Everyone commented on how cute the cards were and how much they loved them. Mom loved them too and even had the dilemma of picking who would receive the coveted few Lauren had ordered. See, my mom is not a card person. Not because she doesn’t care or doesn’t think they are fun, but she doesn’t see the point in spending all that money sending a card to people who already know what we look like, ha! We are working on her and she’s beginning to see how fun they are and how much people enjoy them. When I saw the news about FREE holiday cards on other blogs I knew this would be perfect for our family. I found a picture, of course from this summer at the beach, (we are a much prettier bunch with a tan) and set out to find the perfect card. I found a few that look great with the bright colors of our summer picture. Here are a few that we thought would be perfect.

The next family project we’ll be working on for the Holiday are photo books for our grandparents..
